IPL 2021: Ongoing Indian Premier League season 14 suspended for indefinite period

Corona scare was growing day by day. Starting from Sunday evening by the time we reached Tuesday corona positive count was going up inside the bio bubble. Board of Control for Cricket in India was under tremendous pressure to first control the situation in hand and then deciding on the final course of action. Finally BCCI vice-president Shri Rajeev Shukla has made an announcement that ongoing 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021,Indian T-20 League) has been suspended for indefinite period.


After Monday reported 5 cases of members of two franchises being corona positive,on Tuesday morning reports received till now confirms that Delhi Capitals memeber Amit Mishra and Sunrisers Hyderabad member Wriddhiman Saha have been tested Covid positive.As the bio-bubble security was breached by corona the onus was on BCCI to take a final call and they did took it in what many termed it as just the right moment.
