IPL 2021: Noble gesture by Laxmi Ratan Shukla,donates his IPL earning to Chief Minister’s relief fund

In what can be termed as a very noble gesture shown by Ex-Bengal and India international cricketer Laxmi Ratan Shukla who Incidentally was a minister of state in the last Mamata Banerjee’s Government cabinet has decided to donate all his earnings from this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL 2021, Indian T-20 League) to Chief Minister’s relief fund to enable Government fight with the prevailing situation affected by Corona.

Today Incidentally is Laxmi Ratan Shukla’s birthday. And on the occasion of his birthday Laxmi Ratan Shukla has announced to donate generously. He was working in IPL in the capacity of a commentator. Official broadcaster of this year’s tournament was running commentary in many regional languages as well beside English. Laxmi Ratan Shukla was working as a commentator commenting in Bengali only.

He took to twitter today to declare “Today, 6th May 2021, on my Birthday, am humbly Donating my entire #IPL2021 commentary fees, to the #westbengal #CHIEFMINISTERRELIEF FUND. A small contribution to fight this disastrous 2nd wave Corona Situation ,from my end for my people🙏WinCorona #COVID19 #StaySafe #India #LRS”
