IPL 2021: “I’m still the fastest cat around”: Usain Bolt sends his wishes to Kohli & AB ahead of season opener

Xtra Time Web Desk: Former champion Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt sent his best wishes to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. Bolt , who still holds the record for fastest 100 m race has reminded both RCB legends that he is still the fastest cat around. The Jamaican was referring to a twitter interaction between Kohli and de Villiers.

Bolt responded by tagging both Kohli and AB and tweeting,  ‘I’m still fastest cat around’

Both the RCB batsman was quick to accept that the Jamaican is still the quickest and hence welcomed him to the RCB family.

AB de Villiers also welcomed Bolt in RCB family by tweeting, “No doubt and that’s why we’ve got you on our team now @usainbolt  @pumacricket

The former track and field legend took to Twitter and shared his picture donning the RCB jersey and reminded both Kohli and De Villiers that he’s the “fastest cat around”, a reference to PUMA brand logo, the merchandise sponsors of the franchise. 

Kohli-led RCB will kick-off their IPL 2021 campaign against the defending champions Mumbai Indians in the season opener on Friday. Perennial under achievers RCB will look to win its maiden IPL title this season.  

Apart from the high-profile pair of Kohli and De Villiers, the Bangalore unit this time has also roped Australia’s swashbuckling all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and New Zealand’s Kyle Jamieson in the mini-auction held in February this year. Bolt in RCB jersey cheers for the team ahead of IPL
