IPL 2021: Delhi Capitals announces short term replacements
Xtratime Web Desk: In the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) 14 edition Delhi Capitals franchise led by young talented wicketkeeper batsman from India ,Rishav Pant is one of the strong contenders to win the title this year. They are a very young and energetic side. Pant's men started off their campaign with an emphatic win versus Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
But they are having some bad luck when it comes to some of their important and key players. Just before the start of IPL 2021 India international spinner Axar Patel tested positive for corona. During the course of the England series their regular captain Shreya Iyer injured his left shoulder as he had to go through a surgery and later ruled out of the tournament. After their first match was over the got another body blow when their Proteas pacer Anrich Nortje tested Corona positive.
Keeping in mind the long tournament like IPL they have now announced short term replacement for Aaron and Shreya Iyer. Spinners Shams Mulani and Anirudha Joshi was added to the squad as short term replacement. Mulani is a left arm spinner who played 10 first class game for Mumbai ,while Joshi is a right arm spinner and middle order batsman who was once part of Bangalore and Rajasthan squads before.
