IPL 2020: Virender Sehwag eagerly waiting to see Dhoni in IPL

XtraTime Web Desk: Nawab of Najafgarh, Virender Sehwag thinks that this year’s IPL is going to be ‘extra special’. The reason viru stated looks very convincing. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is returning to cricket after announcing his retirement from International Cricket following a year-long speculation. Thus, this year IPL is indeed going to be special for all thala fans.

The IPL is all set to start from September 19 in the UAE. It had to shift from India to UAE because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I think this tournament will be extra special for everyone – the players as well as the audience…watching Dhoni back on the pitch is sure to be a delight. There’s so much in store, need I say more?” Sehwag, said.

It was a big surprise for everyone when Dhoni informed everyone about his retirement. 15th August, 7:29 pm Dhoni called it a day and just after one month and few days later, he will be back in action when he leads Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.

CSK will take on defending champions Mumbai Indians in the lung-opener of the league in Abu Dhabi on September 19.

Sehwag said cricket is an integral part of an Indian’s life and the fans have waited long for the sport to return.

“I’ve spent a lot of my time during the lockdown watching old matches, analyzing them, including my own innings. Cricket forms an important part of our DNA as Indians and we’ve waited with bated breath for it to return” he said.
