Xtra Time Web Desk: The firm which was responsible for providing bio-secure bubble during the recently concluded series between England and West Indies in UK has been roped in for the upcoming 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) starting in the UAE from September 19. Restrata was the firm which provided the bio-secured bubble during the two test matches held in Southampton and Manchester.

It is the same firm which provided specialized security systems at the Olympic Park in Startford during the London Olympics in 2012. Restrata, it is learnt also operates in the UAE and was the prime reason they were preferred over Tata Medical and Diagnostics due to logistical reasons. The local media in UAE claims that VPS Healthcare has been entrusted with the responsibility. Both BCCI and Restrata are tightlipped about the deal.

The BCCI officials already met the UK based company few days back and are in the process of finalizing the deal. Restrata, it is learnt will develop a track and trace technology, to keep a tab on the people working in specific zones. The firm will also have a GPS chip attached with the accreditation card issued.

This was the same system used by the ECB during the Tests against West Indies and Pakistan. It will be useful to keep the bubble intact, keeping all the health and safety standards in mind.
