XtraTime Web Desk: Two-time Indian Premier League champions Kolkata Knight Riders have already started their training camp in Abu Dhabi, UAE last Friday after relaxation of quarantine rules. After staying in their hotel rooms for a week the Knights met each other in a restaurant inside their resort a few days ago before the start of their training. Kolkata Knight Riders management uploaded that video on social media where the cricketers were seen in all smiles and spent quality time with each other. They captioned the video,”What happens when you meet your team mates after 7 days of isolation? Fun. Food. Conversations! Find out more from our very own Knights in this video!”

KKR’s ace chinaman spinner, Kuldeep Yadav said,”Today we had our first get together. It felt great meeting everyone and to be back together like old times. We do meet each other at nets and talk a lot about cricket. But when we have such get-togethers, we get to keep our minds off the game a bit.”

Their left hand batsman Nitish Rana revealed that after spending over six months at home, all the players were waiting for this day.” It's not really 8-10 days. After 6-7 months of isolation we are getting to meet so many people. We all were really excited for this day since the past 8 to 10 days, we were waiting for a moment like this. To meet teammates, and hangout like previous years, as a team, as a family. Today we finally got that chance. Felt really good,” said Nitish Rana.

Kolkata Knight Riders Assistant Coach Abhishek Niar said,”In tough times like these, how the 'covid' period has been for everyone, it takes a toll on the mental side of things for everyone and I felt that today when all of us were sitting, chatting together and laughing! It brings that sense of relief that things can still be normal, even though this situation being the 'new' normal. Just to have this quality time with the boys was terrific tonight.”
