XtraTime Web Desk: Marcus Stoinis, the Australian big hitter has changed the complexion of Delhi Capitals vs Kings XI Punjab match. Stoinis came to bat when Delhi was suffering but scored runs very quickly which gave Delhi a very good target to defend.

Stoinis scored 53 runs of just 21 balls. This is not the first time Stoinis faced Jordan in T20. Whenever they met, Stoinis always had the upper hand against the Englishman. Earlier Stoinis scored 87 runs in just 36 balls against Jordan, with a strike rate of 241.67. Today he faced 9 deliveries from Jordan and the result was – 6, 4, 1, 6, 4, 4, 4, 6, 1 – 36 runs.

Speaking about this performance, Stoinis said, “I think the partnership that Shreyas had with Rishabh was important, we were in a tough spot there. We were sort of looking for 130-140 after the early wickets. [That last over for 30] Yeah it was handy, that can happen in cricket. A lot of bowlers are going wider to me these days, so I’ve got to work on that stuff. [Walking across the stumps] was part of the game plan.”

Not only Stonis, but Shami and Ravi Bishnoi had a very good outing with the ball. Shami looks very fit and that was seen in the result. Shami took 4 wickets and gave away just 15 runs. On the other hand, the youngster, Ravi Bishnoi took 1 wicket and gave away 22 runs in 4 overs.
