IPL 2020: Rahul Tewatia not worried of batting in Super Over if situation demands

XtraTime Web Desk: There is an air of lazy confidence with Rahul Tewatia. The Haryana cricketer rose to fame with his power packed batting against the Kings XI Punjab at Sharjah stadium on Sunday. The Rajasthan Royals batsman is ready to show his skills if any such situation demands for his side in the upcoming fixtures. Tewatia was the star for Rajasthan Royals during Sunday’s clash. The left-handed batsman was promoted ahead of Robin Uthappa with a view to up the strike rate. But he seemed to be struggling against the leg spin of Ravi Bishnoi, scoring just 8 runs off 19 balls. However, in the 18th over bowled by Sheldon Cottrell, Tewatia smashed five glorious sixes to turn the tide in favor of Rajasthan Royals. The left-handed batsman played a knock of 53 as Rajasthan gained an improbable victory.
On being asked if he was ready to take the challenge if he is asked to bat in Super Over, Tewatia said, “The management, captain and coach have to decide whom they want in the super over considering the situation.”
“It also depends on the game who has played well. If I get any such opportunity I am ready for my team. I will try to give my best,” he said during a virtual conference on Tuesday.
With two wins in a row Rajasthan Royals see themselves on top of the table with Delhi Capitals. Steve Smith led side will next play against Kolkata Knight Riders at Sheikh Zayed Stadium on September 30.
