IPL 2020: Nagarkoti’s incredible diving catch sees off Jofra Archer

XtraTime Web Desk: Young Kamlesh Natarkoti is showing everyone why the two-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders retained him since 2018 despite of having a huge injury. After a classy performance in the 2018 ICC U-19 World Cup, KKR bought him for a whopping price. Though he missed the previous two editions of the cash rich league due to injury.

In fact, the speedster did not play top-flight cricket at all since February 2018 due to ankle and back injuries. But KKR still decided to retain him and the youngster is looking set to justify the franchise’s season. He finally made his IPL debut last week during the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The right-arm pacer failed to take any wicket in the game but has made a big impression in the ongoing match against Rajasthan Royals. In his very first over, he picked up the wickets of Robin Uthappa and Riyan Parag and capped off a fine outing with a stunning catch to send back Jofra Archer.

On the fourth delivery of the 15th over, Archer tried to play a big shot off Varun Chakravarthy. However, the England star could only end up miscuing his shot straight over the bowler’s head. The ball was looking set to land between long-on and long-off.

However, Kamlesh Nagarkoti had some other plans. The youngster came running from long-on and made a stunning full length dive to catch the ball.
