IPL 2020: Mumbai Indian’s Hardik Pandya trolled for this reason
XtraTime Web Desk: It is nothing new that cricketers getting trolled on social media. The latest to that list is Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hardik Pandya. The MI cricketer was trolled by the netizens for his bizarre dismissal during the IPL 2020 match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Wednesday at Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The incident happened during the 18th over of Mumbai Indians innings. Hardik was batting on 18 off 12 balls. He tried to defend a delivery from KKR’s Andre Russell but did not realised how deep he was standing in the crease. While he was trying to leave the delivery, Hardik clipped the bails with his bat and had to walk to the pavilion due to his error of judgement. He was given out hit wicket. Hardik was then trolled on Twitter for his lapse in judgement. Here are some of the reactions:-
The defending champions Mumbai Indians registered a comfortable 49 runs win over the Knight Riders after losing to Chennai Super Kings in the first match. MI Captain Rohit Sharma was once again the star performer as he scored a brilliant 80 off 54 balls paving the way for a huge total of 195 runs. Then the Jasprit Bumrah-led Mumbai attack did most things right to restrict KKR to 146 for nine and end their winless streak in the UAE.
