Xtra Time Web Desk: IPL 2020 table toppers Delhi Capitals on Tuesday lost to Kings XI Punjab by 5 wickets at Dubai International Stadium. With the exception of Shikhar Dhawan and Kagiso Rabida, the performance of the entire team was lackadaisical. Captain Shreyas Iyer feels the loss will be a wakeup call for the team as the business end of the tournament. The 25-year-old felt that the defeat would motivate his team to bounce back and win in the next game against Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday.

"I am really glad this this happened because the boys will be really motivated in the next game. The fielding wasn't up to the mark. So we will learn from this and come back."

DC captain Iyer heaped rich praises on Shikhar Dhawan, who smashed an unbeaten 61-ball 106 to become the first-ever player in the history of IPL to hit back to back to hundreds. Iyer added that Dhawan got acclimatised to the conditions quicker than anyone else.

"Shikhar read the wicket well, adapted to the situation, he went hard from Ball 1, and passed the message onto the youngsters that the wicket is stopping. He acclimatised to the conditions quicker than others," Iyer said during the post-match presentation ceremony.
