XtraTime Web Desk: Kolkata Knight Riders Captain Dinesh Karthik will be seen in a new look during Wednesday’s IPL 2020 clash against Chennai Super Kings. A clean shaven KKR captain can be seen going for the toss with his counterpart MS Dhoni. The cricketer from Chennai recently accepted the “Break the Beard” challenge from Mumbai Indians all rounder Kieron Pollard. The Trindadian cricketer himself was spotted in a new look in last night’s game against Rajasthan Royals.

Karthik will be hoping for some good fortune with his changed look. The KKR captain has been woefully out of form with the bat in the ongoing IPL 2020. Barring the 31 runs he scored in the opening match against Mumbai Indians, he has failed to get a score in double figures since. So far in this tournament, Karthik has scored only 37 runs from 4 matches, inviting severe criticism from KKR fans and experts. The social media was even abuzz with the removal of him as captain and getting Eoin Morgan to lead the side.

Being a captain of an Indian Premier League team is not an easy task. One big defeat and all the blame is pointed on the one leading the troops. The KKR captain has been on the receiving end of his share of criticism over his captaincy. Hopefully with the change in look we can see Karthik back amongst runs and with it can see a change in fortune for his team as well.
