IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals’ players assemble in Mumbai ahead of departure for UAE on Saturday

XtraTime Web Desk: Six out of the eight franchises are already in the UAE with Mumbai Indians , Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore reaching on Friday. Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad are the only two franchises to reach Dubai on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The Delhi Capitals squad, led by captain Shreyas Iyer, assembled here on Thursday ahead of their departure for the United Arab Emirates on Saturday. The Delhi Capitals players reached Mumbai in batches following all the health and safety protocols amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sunrisers Hyderabad players have also started reaching Mumbai. The Orange Army is scheduled to leave for Dubai on Sunday, August 23. U19 India captain Priyam Gard, Abhishek Sharma were the first players to reach Mumbai along with Wriddhiman Saha and Sreevats Goswami.

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) will begin in the UAE from September 19. The 53 days tournament will be played across three venues in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. The final of the cash rich league will take place of November 10.
