IPL 2020: Debutant Kamlesh Nagarkoti impresses everyone with his pace against Sunrisers Hyderabad
XtraTime Web Desk: Kolkata Knight Rider’s young pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti finally made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The young pacer from Rajasthan got an opportunity to roll his arms for a couple of overs in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He rolled his arms for 2 overs and gave away 17 runs without picking a single wicket.
20 year old Nagarkoti made his debut in IPL after having to wait for two seasons. The 2018 U19 World Cup winner was brought by KKR ahead of the 2018 season for a whopping Rs 3 crore. But a back injury forced him to stay away from cricket and IPL. Nagarkoti was one of the emerging stars alongside Shaw, Shubman Gill, Anukul Roy and Shivam Mavi.
Nagarkoti was even hailed as the next big thing in Indian cricket thanks to his rapid pace and accuracy.
Ahead of IPL 2020, Nagarkoti said that he looks forward to making a new start in the tournament.
“I have changed a few aspects in my bowling after consulting my coach Surender sir and KKR bowling coach Omkar Salvi sir. They shared a couple of pointers on how to reduce injuries,” said Nagarkoti.
