IPL 2020: Debate over Chahal’s catch to dismiss Samson, sparks yet another umpiring controversy

XtraTime Web Desk: IPL 2020 witnessed another controversy when Royal Challengers Bangalore faced Rajasthan Royals at Abu Dhabi. In the first innings, when Yuzvendra Chahal took Sanju Samson’s wicket, the controversy broke whether or not Chahal’s fingers were under the ball when he took the catch. The soft signal was out but the on-field umpires asked the 3rd umpire to check whether the ball is touched the ground or not. The 3rd umpire couldn’t find any conclusive evidence, thus the decision wasn’t reversed and Sanju Samson was given out and in the in-form player had to depart. Here is how some fans reacted to the incident:

Chahal has been the backbone of Bangalore’s bowling line up. Whenever Virat Kohli wanted a wicket, Chahal was given the ball and he has delivered in more than one occasion.

Virat Kohli’s team was asked to field after losing the toss. As the match started, RCB bowlers showed their quality and Royals lost 3 of their top-order batsman in the very early stage of the match. RCB will go top of the table if they are able to beat Rajasthan today.
