XtraTime Web Desk: After quite a few sleepless nights, there are some great news coming for Chennai Super Kings management on Tuesday. According to a report in TOI, all the players and support-staff tested negative in the Covid-19 test carried out on Monday.

The CSK management was shattered a few days ago because two of their cricketers- Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad -- tested positive. Add to that is the departure of Suresh Raina due to "personal reasons" which generated a lot of heat on the social media for the last couple of days

The CSK camp was desperately hoping that there would be no more trouble and the negative report was a shot in the arm. All the players and support-staff will have to undergo another test on September 3. If all of them pass the final hurdle, they will be allowed to take the field from September 5.

However, Chahar and Ruturaj continue to stay in quarantine and will not be available for practice before September 12. Meanwhile, Faf du Pless and Lungi Ngidi arrived in Dubai and went straight into quarantine.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and their leader MS Dhoni feels Suresh Raina can still make a comeback to the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) in UAE. Raina who has been very important cog in the wheel for the CSK batting left the team in huff and puff but CSK is yet to officially call for any replacement for the southpaw.

No one exactly knows why Raina left all of a sudden other than the CSK management. But whatever it is, reality is CSK has not asked for any replacement till date. This clearly means that CSK either is waiting for Raina to make a comeback or they are banking heavily on young Ruturaj Gaikwad to fill in Raina’s shoes.

None other than CSK’s owner N. Srinivasan himself has clearly hinted that CSK will not call for any replacement and he is hopeful that Raina will certainly realize what he is missing.
