XtraTime Web Desk: KL Rahul led Kings XI Punjab was denied a win against Delhi Capitals in the second match of IPL 2020 due to a poor decision by the umpire on Sunday.
The incident happened in the third ball of the penultimate over during Kings XI’s chase. Mayank Agarwal completed two runs in that ball but the square leg umpire called it a run short against Chris Jordan.
However, replay suggested that Jordan had put his bat inside the crease while turning for the second run.
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag too raised question on the decision of the umpire on his twitter handle,” I don’t agree with the man of the match choice . The umpire who gave this short run should have been man of the match. Short Run nahin tha. And that was the difference,” said Sehwag.
