Mumbai Indians leg spinner Rahul Chahar caught the attention of a packed Eden Gardens crowd with his ziz zag snake run up. The 19-year-old spinner has been bowling with this peculiar run up in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2019). Rahul takes his run up like a left-arm spinner and quickly switches back to his original leg spinning action at the time of delivery.

On Sunday, Rahul’s zig zag snake run up brought about the downfall of Kolkata Knight Riders opener Chris Lynn. The Australian tried to hit the ball into the stand only to be caught at the boundary by Evin Lewis during the 9.2 over of the Mumbai innings. He nearly got Andre Russell caught by Lewis off the first ball of 12th over with the similar run up.

The Mumbai Indians youngster has seized the opportunities that have come his way in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League. Chahar, who idolizes Shane Warne has picked 10 wickets from 9 matches.
