XtraTime Web Desk: ‘It usually happens in threes’ said one of the commentators during the first innings of the match between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab and his comment was proved correct when KKR opener Chris Lynn missed a ball of Dhawal Kulkarni and the ball hit the stumps but Lynn survived as the bell didn’t come off.
Lynn started going back to the pavilion as he heard the sound of ball hitting the stumps. The Aussie opener didn’t look back at the stumps and the hosts also started their celebration but they also realized that the stumps didn’t remove.
This is the third time that this kind of incident has happened in IPL 2019. KL Rahul had survived after being run out by MS Dhoni as the bails did not come off. MS Dhoni had also benefitted from these stubborn when he was not out even after the ball hit the stumps during CSK’s match against Rajasthan Royals.
