XtraTime Web Desk: Though Ishan Kishan got out today on 21 of 9 against Royal Challengers Bangalore today but the 20 years old young man showed that he has the big hitting ability despite of having a short structure. In his season he hasn’t had scored much but he was very good in last season and with still a few games in hand we could see a handful of big score from the next matches. Kishan has a pretty interesting cricketing career so far. Kishan led India at the Under-19 World Cup in 2016 in Bangladesh, where his team finished runners-up to West Indies. He was first noticed when he struck a 69-ball 87, studded with eight sixes, on a rank Rajkot turner in a Ranji Trophy clash against Saurashtra in October 2015. He then led India Under-19s to a one-day tri-series win in Sri Lanka, also involving the hosts and England, two months later. He had made his first-class debut for Jharkhand in December 2014 and scored a century and five fifties in his first ten first-class matches. Later Kishan performed tremendously when IPL provided him that platform. He impressed with his lower-order hitting for the Gujarat Lions in 2017, and was at the receiving end of a windfall in the 2018 IPL auctions, where the Mumbai Indians won a bidding war and bagged his services for INR 6.2 crores. After a promising start to the 2018 season, his form nosedived through the middle of the tournament, but the flashes of brilliance were still there, like his whirlwind 21-ball 62 against the Kolkata Knight Riders, which included four consecutive sixes off Kuldeep Yadav. His consistency may not have been the greatest, but he was able to finish the season with a superb strike-rate of close to 150.
