Internet Desk: As the Indian media got bowled over the news of coach selection, insiders in the BCCI look at it differently. Just like the board is clearly divided over the implementation of Lodha reforms, a section in the board wants to see Ravi Shastri as the coach.

Two top Indian channels ran the breaking news that Ravi Shastri was appointed the coach of the Indian team. The news was soon picked by one of the top agency in the country. Once the agency tweeted the news of Shastri’s appointment, other media houses also started tweeting and filed stories on their websites. The other news circulating is few top BCCI officials has called up a few media houses and shared the name of Ravi who happens to be their preferred candidate for the post. One among them holds a respectable post in BCCI.

The drama surrounding the appointment of new coach of Indian cricket team took another twist. It was widely reported across all the media that former Team India Director Ravi Shastri was appointed as the coach. But the news was contradicted by the acting Board secretary Amitabh Choudhury on Tuesday evening.
