Xtra Time Web Desk: India’s ace doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty created history by winning the Super 1000 series Indonesian Open on Sunday at Jakarta. The Indian pair defeated defeated Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yika of Malaysia in straight games. The result was 21-17 and 21-18 in favour of the Indian pair.
The World No. 6 Indian pair earlier won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games and bronze at the World Championships last year.
Chirag and Satwik beat Korean pair of Kang Min Hyuk and Seo Seung Jae 17-21, 21-19, 21-18 in a nail-biting semi-final to make it to the final of a Super 1000 series for the first time.
