Indian team to travel to Brisbane; Shami, Siraj & Shardul will join training session | T20 World Cup 2022

Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricket team will be travelling to Brisbane on Friday. Rohit Sharma and his boys will be based in the capital of Queensland for the next few days. The Men in Blue are scheduled to take on hosts Australia and New Zealand in warm-up games at Gabba on October 17 and 19 respectively.

The Indian cricket team will return to Gabba, a venue where they created history during their last trip Down Under. The Indian team led by Ajinkya Rahane scripted one of India’s memorable test and series win as they beat breached Gabba which is considered to be a fortress for Australia, having not lost a test for 32 years.

Rishabh Pant played a great knock along with Cheteshwar Pujara and Shubman Gill. Mohammed Siraj will be returning to the venue where he was the target of racist attack by a section of Aussie spectators.

India will be training at the Gabba for the next few days before taking on Australia on October 17 and New Zealand on October 19 for two warm-up games ahead of kick-starting its campaign in T20 World Cup 2022 against arch-rivals Pakistan at Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23.
