Xtra Time Web Desk: Rohit Sharma and his boys reached Adelaide on Monday afternoon for the big semi-final against England at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday. Since it was a travelling day, the Indian cricketers were given rest once they checked in at the team hotel. The Men in Blue will prepare for the semi final in the next two days starting from Tuesday at 10:45 am local time. BCCI uploaded a video of the team’s arrival in Adelaide on it’s official Twitter handle.

Although it is an optional training session but it is assumed the entire team will turn up for the practice at Adelaide Oval. Last time the Indians turned up at this venue, there were rains all around. The team had to train indoors ahead of the group league game against Bangladesh which was marred by rain.

Team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid has hinted that there could be a couple of changes for the semi-final match against England. Leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who is yet to get a game in the ongoing tournament might get a nod in ahead of Axar Patel. It will be interesting if experienced Dinesh Karthik will be back in the playing XI against England. Rishabh Pant was preferred over Karthik in the last group league game against Zimbabwe but the left hander failed to grab the opportunity.

The Indian team had a near-perfect Sunday as they sealed their place in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. Rohit and his boys defeated Zimbabwe by 71 runs to top Group 2.

India had a relatively easy group and eventually finished top of the standings. England would however prove to be a difficult nut to crack as Rohit Sharma and Co eye for a first final since 2014.

England have made it to the semis of every event since 2016 and India will have to be on their toes for this contest. This will be also be the first meeting between the top two sides in the T20 WC in over a decade, since their last meeting in the T20 World Cup 2012.
