Indian captain Rohit Sharma visits Siddhivinayak Temple before travelling to Australia | T20 World Cup 2022

Xtra Time Web Desk: Indian captain Rohit Sharma visited the famous Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai along with his family before leaving for Australia for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 on Thursday. Rohit was seen offering prayers to Lord Ganapati with daughter Samaira on his shoulder. His wife Ritika was by his side.

Rohit, we all know comes across as a very humble character both on and off the field. It will be the first time that he will be leading the country on a big stage like the T20 World Cup. If India wins the T20 World Cup in Australia, it will be the second time after lifting the title in the inaugural T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2007.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team led by Rohit Sharma departed for Australia in the wee hours on Thursday, October 6 for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022. The Indian players left for Perth from Mumbai via Singapore.

Rohit and his boys will camp in Perth and will train at the bouncy tracks of WACA. They will also play two practice games against Western Australia side on October 10 & 12 respectively before leaving for Brisbane for the two official warm up games against Australia and New Zealand on October 17 & 19.

The Men in Blue are placed in Group 2 alongside arch rivals Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh and two qualifiers. Rohit and co will kick start their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign against Pakistan at the MCG on October 23.
