Xtra Time Web Desk: A brilliant knock (76 off 44 balls) by Suryakumar Yadav helped India register a comprehensive 7 wickets win over West Indies at Warner Park in St Kitts on Tuesday. The victory saw the visitors take a 2-1 lead in the 5-match T20I series. Suryakumar Yadav was the star with 44-ball 76 as India chased down 165 runs with an over to spare. West Indies posed 164/5 with Kyle Mayers hammering 50-ball 73.

Chasing a target of 165, India got off to a flying start with captain Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav firing in all cylinders. India suffered a setback as Rohit Sharma had to retire hurt because of back spasm. But the Suryakumar Yadav was in his zone taking on West Indian bowlers, especially Alzarri Joseph. He completed his half-century off just 26 balls. He smashed 76 off 44 balls with 8 boundaries and 4 sixes.

Suryakumar added 86 runs with Shreyas Iyer off just 59 balls to take the match away from West Indies. Towards the end, Rishabh Pant took charge, adding 30 runs off 19 balls with Suryakumar Yadav to take India closer to the target. In the end, he remained unbeaten on 33 off 26, taking India across the finish line.
