Xtra Time Web Desk : Team India skipper Rohit Sharma on Wednesday faced the media in a pre match press conference ahead of the upcoming 3 match T20I series against Sri Lanka which will start from February at Lucknow

The 34 year old spoke upon several important facts including that of his own fitness, injuries to vital cricketers such as Deepak Chahar and Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson.

"At the moment, I have no issues and looking forward to playing all the games. The workload always depends on what happens thereafter and you take day by day and understand what you do and if a break is needed, you take a break and someone else comes in," said Rohit when asked about his fitness the workload management policy.

"That guy has got talent. Whenever we have seen him bat, he has produced an innings where everyone goes over the moon watching that. He’s got the skillset to succeed. Now, that’s the whole point about this spot. A lot of people have the skillset, a lot of people have talent. I think it’s up to Sanju how he utilises his talent and how he can maximize it," stated the Mumbaikar about the enormously talented Sanju Samson.

"His backfoot play is superb. Some of his shots, you must have seen during the IPL, the pick-up pull, the cut shots, standing and delivering over bowler’s head – those types of shots are not easy to play. When you go to Australia, you need those kinds of shot-making abilities and Samson definitely has it in him," added Team India's new Test skipper.
