Xtra Time Web Desk : Team India’ vice captain Jasprit Bumrah on Friday faced the media in a pre match press conference and opened up on Team India’s playing combinaton ahead of the second Test, also the Pink Test against Sri Lanka which is to start on Saturday.

Opening up about playing XI in the Pink ball Test, Bumrah said, “We are playing a pink ball test after a long time. So, mental adjustments have been addressed in the team meeting and will try to replicate that in training session. We will assess the wickets and decided on the playing XI,”

On Axar Patel’s inclusion, the Gujarat pacer said, “Axar was part of the squad in the previous series as well. He has always added a lot of value whenever he has played and in India, he has contributed a lot. So, he brings a lot of value and offers a lot with both bat and ball,”

Speaking out about last game’s man of the match Jadeja, the speedster said, “I don’t see any player after that performance want to sit out and let go off the performance. He want to replicate in last match performance,”

Also, stating about the mental adjustment for the Pink Ball game, “Yes, we need to make mental adjustments. We are still very new in this format. It depends on individual how easy or difficult it is. As professional cricketers you need to adjust quickly. The ball may not swing as much in first session like Day tests. You cannot set a parameter. We are working on areas according to conditions,”

“We had a look at the wicket yesterday. We will make the combination whether to go in with two or three spinners only after looking at wicket later in the day during practice,” added the Mumbai Indians on being asked about playing three spinners.

Now, with the conditions being different in the Pink Ball Test, it will be interesting to see what playing XI does the team management goes with.
