Xtra Time Web Desk : The first Test or Boxing day Test match between India and South Africa started from December 26. And on the first day itself, Team India dominated the game to score 272 runs for the loss of 3 wickets courtesy of a brilliant century from vice captain KL Rahul. But what stood out apart from the 29 year old's ton was skipper Kohli's dismissal. And now, the former Team India batting coach, Sanjay Bangar has opened up on the 33 year old's dismissal.

In an interview with Star Sports, Bangar said, "Yeah, could well be a mental error in the execution part at least as far as him going after that wide half-volley is concerned. But for me, he relies on driving the ball. Against quicker attacks on seaming pitches, you require one more game. You can't only rely on the front foot shots. If he only relies on that particular shot, the bowlers will continue to drag him wider and wider and hope they find the outside edge. It will be worth it if Virat Kohli can give a thought of developing some sort of a response of the back foot as well. Otherwise, he just seems to be preoccupied with scoring runs off the front foot."

Now, with Virat himself chasing that elusive ton for over two years now, it would be very interesting to see how the Team India Test skipper bounces back in the second innings.
