Xtra Time Web Desk: The All-India Senior Selection Committee met on Saturday to pick the squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against England to be played at the Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera in Ahmedabad. Mumbai middle order batsman Suryakumar Yadav earned his maiden call up in Indian team along with Jharkhand wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan and Rahul Tewatia. Experienced medium pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar made a comeback into the Indian team after recovering from injury. Tamil Nadu and Kolkata Knight Riders mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy, who missed out on the tour to Australia a couple of months back, has been drafted into the Indian T20I squad.
Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for the T20I series while Mohammed Shami is yet to recover to full fitness. Shami has been doing rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.
