Xtra Time Web Desk: India made two changes to their playing XI for the third test match against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground. As expected vice captain Rohit Sharma made a comeback in the side. He replaces Mayank Agarwal, who looked out of form in the series so far. Rohit will open the batting with Shubman Gill while Navdeep Saini will make his test debut. The lanky fast bowler replaced Umesh Yadav who has returned back to India after sustaining a calf injury during the Boxing Day Test at MCG.

“He [Rohit] has been batting really well, the last couple of series, he has been playing as an opener, so you will definitely see him batting at the top,” said Rahane during the virtual media conference ahead of the third test match.

India have decided to go with the spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja who shared a total of 8 wickets at the MCG, which India won by 8 wickets.
