XtraTime Web Desk – The fourth test match wasn’t any different for England as they once again lost quick wickets and were all out for 205 before the end of days play.

After winning the toss, Joe Root chose to bat first. The wicket looked good for batting but once again English players made the same mistake. Axar Patel bowled Dom Sibley (2) and trapped Zak Crawley (9) and both the openers were sent back to pavilion early into the match.

Mohammed Siraj replaced Jasprit Bumrah into the side and he picked Root and there was a tension in the England dressing room whether or not they’ll reach the triple digit mark. Bairstow and Stokes cleared all the tension that was there in the air and made a partnership of 48 runs as Bairstow was dismissed by Siraj.

Stokes made his half century and Daniel Lawrence made 46 and based on that England reached 205. Axar picked up 4 wickets while Ashwin picked 3, Siraj picked 2 and Washington Sundar picked up the important wicket of Stokes.

India had 12 overs to bat to end the day. Fans expected Gill and Rohit will stick to the crease at the end of days play but to their horror, Gill was once again dismissed for none. James Anderson picked up his wicket but India are clearly not in backfoot. Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara are batting and India finished the day with 24 on the board.
