India vs England: Injury concerns for England as Stokes forced to play 4th Test with stomach upset

Xtra Time Web Desk: England all rounder Ben Stokes is playing the fourth test match against India with a stomach upset as per a medical update from the England team management on Thursday. Stokes did bat for the visitors and scored a valuable 55 runs for his side.

The team management was forced to add an extra batsman in Dan Lawrence as fast bowler Jofra Archer complained about issues with his right elbow. Archer has been troubled with his right elbow which has forced him to miss two test matches in the ongoing series.

Archer had missed the second Test in Chennai due to the same issue.

“Jofra Archer is not playing in this Test match due to his ongoing right elbow issue. The ECB medical team will provide an update in due course,” read an update from the England cricket board.

“Ben Stokes has had an upset stomach, the same issue that has affected other members the touring party. It is not expected to keep him off the field,” it said.

India are leading the series 2-1 and need just a draw to qualify for the World Test Championship final against New Zealand to be held in June.
