India tour to Zimbabwe 2022: KL Rahul declared fit; replaces Shikhar Dhawan as captain

Xtra Time Web Desk: KL Rahul has been named as a captain of the Indian ODI team for the tour to Zimbabwe. Shikhar Dhawan was earlier named as the captain. But with Rahul clearing his fitness test by BCCI Medical Team, the selection committee led by Chetan Sharma has not only included him in the side but also named him the captain.  

According to a statement released by the BCCI, it said the BCCI Medical Team has assessed KL Rahul and cleared him to play in the upcoming three-match ODI series in Zimbabwe. The All-India Senior Selection Committee has appointed him the captain of the side and named Shikhar Dhawan as his deputy.
