India tour to Australia: BCCI directs franchises to report any injuries to Indian cricketers

Xtra Time Web Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has directed all the franchises to report any injury to Indian cricketers playing in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) in UAE. With the business end of the cash rich league fast approaching, the competition is getting more intense. The players are also putting that extra effort so as to help their teams get the best results. As such the possibility for the players (Indian cricketers particularly) getting injured is higher ahead of the all important tour to Australia which starts at the end of next month.

It has already been an area of concern for the BCCI as quite a few Indian cricketers like Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar,Risabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer has injured themselves during the tournament. Ishant and Bhuvi have been ruled out for the remainder of the league. It is believed the two experienced bowlers are now doubtful for the Australia tour.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the IPL franchises have been sent an email by Hemang Amin, the Interim CEO of the board that they should report the status of players fitness, injuries immediately to the physio of Team India Nitin Patel.
