Xtra Time Web Desk: Good news for the Indian team in England as both Suryakumar Yadav and Prithvi Shaw are set to leave for UK ahead of the test series which starts from Thursday at Nottingham. Both of them has tested negative thrice for COVID-19 in Colombo and will be allowed to leave Sri Lanka. The two cricketers were in isolation after coming in close contacts with Krunal Pandya who tested positive for COVID-19.

“They are waiting for their visas. Because of the two holidays (Saturday and Sunday), they could not receive the same through the United Kingdom Embassy office in Sri Lanka. The travel agent has been following up the matter and it is hoped they would leave within 24 hours to join Team India in England,” a source told Deccan Chronicle.

Suryakumar and Prithvi has been added to the test squad after Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar were ruled out due to injuries in England.

Meanwhile Krishnappa Gowtham, Krunal Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal are yet to test negative and will continue to stay in isolation. The three cricketers were currently staying in Mount Lavinia hotel. They are under the supervision of Nawaloka Hospital. They will only be allowed to travel back to India if they test negative in RT-PCR test.
