Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian men’s archery team of Pravin Jadhav, Atanu Das and Tarundeep Rai bowed out of the Tokyo Olympics men’s archery team event at the Yumenoshima Park on Monday. The Indians lost to the formidable South Korean team by a 6-0 margin. The score read a dismal 54-59, 57-59, 54-56. The Korean’s were bang on target from the start.

Earlier in the day, the Indians downed Kazakhstan 6-2 to set up a quarterfinal clash against top seeds South Korea. The Indians were strong; especially Atanu Das who drilled in six perfect 10s to play a crucial role in team’s win. But the top ranked Indian archer failed to live up to the expectation in the last eight, failing to hold nerves.

With the loss in the men’s team event, India’s campaign in the archery event at Tokyo Olympics comes to an end.
