Xtra Time Web Desk: India Star dated his 100th Test match by smashing smooth 45 runs on the first day of Test cricket against Sri Lanka and has also set a phenomenal batting record at the PCA stadium, Mohali on Friday.  Kohli became the 6th Indian batter to cross 8000 runs in Test cricket and the fifth fastest batter in the country to reach the milestone.

 Kohli joined the likes of Sachin Tendulkar (15921), Rahul Dravid (13288), Sunil Gavaskar (10122), VVS Laxman (8781) and Virender Sehwag (8586) after he went past the 8000-run mark. Overall, Kohli has become the 33rd batter to amass 8000 career runs in Test cricket.
