IND vs SA: Proteas dealt a blow as this star player likely to miss remainder of series

Xtra Time Web Desk: South Africa were dealt a big blow despite leading the five match T20I series 2-0 against India. Wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock is unlikely to feature in the remaining three games after suffering a hand injury. Former CSA chief Graeme Smith during his post-match show with host broadcasters Star Sports indicated that the injury was serious and it is unlikely that he will be risked ahead of the England tour.

Heinrich Klassen, who replaced Quinton in the second T20I at Cuttack played a brilliant 46-ball 81-run knock. The hard-hitting batter knew he was going to play as de Kock injured his hand during practice.

Quinton de Kock has been in brilliant form in the recently concluded IPL 2022, finishing with 508 runs in 15 matches for Lucknow Super Giants.
