Internet Desk: Wet outfield played spoilsport for the 3rd T20I between India and Australia at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Friday. Heavy rains in Hyderabad damaged the outfield due to which umpires were forced to abandon the match. With this result, both the teams have shared the T20 series.

The hosts went 1-0 up following their win at Ranchi while the visitors fought back to draw level in the series at Guwahati. Both teams came to Hyderabad with everything to play for. But the 29000 strong crowds were left disappointed as the match referee and umpires were forced to call off the match due to soggy outfield.

The Indian players will take a short break before regrouping for the limited-overs series against New Zealand starting on October 22, while the Australian cricket team will head back home and will hope to be fully prepared on time for the Ashes series against England at their home turf, starting in November.

The BlackCaps will be playing three ODI’s followed by three T20I’s. The visitors will be playing a couple of warm up matches at the Cricket Club of India on October 17 & 19 respectively.
