Xtra Time Web Desk: In yet another dominating performance, India convincingly defeated Afghanistan by 6 wickets with 26 balls to spare in the second T20I at the Holkar stadium in Indore on Sunday. The win also saw the hosts seal the three match T20I series with the final match to be played at Bengaluru.

Shivam Dube (63 off 32) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (68 off 34) were the star performers for India. The two left-handers unleashed a barrage of aggressive strokes in the 173-run chase, with Dube crafting an unbeaten 63, achieving consecutive half-centuries, while Jaiswal's impactful return to the XI featured a formidable 68-run knock.

Despite the early setback of skipper Rohit Sharma's golden duck, India pursued the target with relentless aggression, ultimately sealing the win with 26 balls to spare, firmly establishing their dominance over Afghanistan.

Virat Kohli, making a comeback to the Indian T20I team after a year's hiatus, defied his usual approach by adopting an aggressive stance from the outset. Kohli's explosive innings saw him amass 29 runs off 16 balls at a staggering strike rate of 181.25, including five boundaries. He was involved in a partnership of 57 runs with Yashasvi Jaiswal following Rohit Sharma's early departure.

Yashasvi, replacing Shubman Gill, displayed solid form during his dynamic 68-run innings, studded with 5 fours and 6 sixes. The duo of Jaiswal and Dube synergized effectively with their ultra-aggressive approach, overwhelming Afghanistan, and entertaining the Indore crowd with monstrous sixes.

Earlier, Gulbadin Naib's brisk 57, coupled with a late onslaught from the lower-order, propelled Afghanistan to a total of 172 all out.
