Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian men’s and women’s team left for London in the wee hours on Thursday.  Both the teams left together in a chartered flight which is very rare. It has never happened in the history of Indian cricket when both the men’s and women’s team have travelled together on an overseas tour.  The team will reach London Heathrow on Thursday morning.

After reaching Heathrow both the teams will head straight to Southampton where they will remain in hard quarantine for first three days. During their quarantine regular COVID-19 tests will be conducted. The men’s cricketers will be allowed to train within the bio-bubble at the Ageas Bowl, provided they return negative. The women’s team will travel to Bristol where they will take on England in the one off test match from June 16.

Virat Kohli and his team will start their three and half month long tour with the ICC World Test Championship Final against New Zealand at the Hampshire Bowl in Southampton starting from June 18. They will take a break for little over a month before taking on England in the five match test series starting from August 04.

India women will play one-off day which will be followed by 3-match ODI and T20I series.
