Kolkata: Mohun Bagan U-19 team began their IFA shield campaign with a 1-0 victory over Minerva Punjab at the Mohun Bagan ground on May 27th.
The lone goal for the Green and Maroon side was scored in the 65th minute of the match by Lironthung Lotha.
Although the Kolkata giants managed to win the game by a single goal, the whole game was one way traffic for Bagan. The team dominated the entire game and could have easily scored a lot of goals.
The Mariners could have easily sealed the game when they could have easily been 2-0 up in the first half.
The Green and Maroon side will face Pune City FC in their next game on 30th of May.
