KL Rahul on Monday said entire team will go right back if someone is said anything by the opponent.

Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India batsman KL Rahul on Monday said the success of the current team lies in the camaraderie they shared as a group. According to Rahul, if anyone in the team is attacked or said anything then the entire team rally around him.

"We don't mind a bit of banter, but if you go after one of our guys all eleven will come right back," Rahul said during the virtual post match conference.

Virat Kohli and his team scripted a sensational win against England in the second test at Lord’s to go 1-0 up in the series. The Indian pace quartet stood tall when it mattered as they bundled England out for only 120 runs in 51.5 overs, to hand the team an incredible 151 runs win. KL Rahul, who was named player of the match for his gritty century in the first innings, said that the on-field chatter ended up motivating the team to go for the win.

"With two competitive teams you're going to see a lot of heart and great skills and some words," the India opener said after the win.

"That got us going, and the bowlers were really pumped to go out and have a crack," he said about the on-field chat.

Rahul is going through a great run of form since being asked to open the innings at Trent Bridge due to the head injury to Mayank Agarwal. It was his brilliant 129 runs in the first innings that helped India score a healthy 364 runs after being put into bat. He shared a 126 runs with his opening partner Rohit Sharma, who fell for 83 and then a stand of 117 with his skipper Virat Kohli, who made 42.

"I've been looking at it every morning to see if they've put it up permanently," Rahul said about having his name on the Lord's Honours Board.
