Xtra Time Web Desk: India’s rising pace sensation Mohammad Siraj has revealed his plans to stop New Zealand captain Kane Williamson in the upcoming final of ICC World Test Championships to be held at Southampton from June 18.

In an interview to ABP News, Siraj said, “I will try to bowl in a particular spot tirelessly. I will focus on bowling dots against Kane Williamson, the best batsman in the New Zealand line-up, to create pressure on him. It will provoke him to go for shots and there will be a high chance of getting him out.”

Siraj played a huge part in India clinching a memorable win against Australia at the Gabba. The promising fast bowler said he would like to replicate that performance in the upcoming tour to England.

“Australian pitches offer more bounce and pace. I used to bowl back of good length there. But in England, there will be more swing. So I will try to make the batsmen play on front-foot,” he added.

Siraj also believe the BlackCaps will be better prepared going into the WTC Final, having played two tests against England.

“We are going through quarantine these days before we leave for England. We had no cricket after IPL got postponed. But New Zealand will play a Test series against England and they have reached there much before us. So they will not only be among matches, they will also get more time to adjust to English conditions,” Siraj signed off.

The Indian team will be travelling to UK on June 02 for a three month long tour. They will also play a five match test series against England after the WTC Final.
