XtraTime Web Desk: Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has invited a mild controversy for not turning up for the team photoshoot with the new jersey for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The Sunrisers Hyderabad cricketer was at the Sher e Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Sunday but left before the entire World Cup-bound squad posed for the official photoshoot. The Bangladesh Cricket Board chief did not hide his disappointment for Shakib’s no show.

"It is disappointing, what else can I say?" Nazmul told reporters at Mirpur when asked about Shakib's absence. "It was the team's photo session. I came and asked about him. I didn't know he had arrived last night. I called him, and he said he is going to come to my house at night. "I said to him to come to the ground. He said he had already left. I asked everyone here, and they said Shakib was informed of the photo session. He didn't turn up for training but we hoped for his presence in the photo session. But he wasn't here," the BCB chief added. Shakib did turn up at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium to report to the team management for completing all formalities ahead of the team’s departure to Ireland on May 1to take part in a Tri-Series involving the host country and West Indies. However, Shakib left the field before the team gathered for the official photoshoot despite being informed by the management that his presence was required. The former Bangladesh captain had earlier skipped a pre-World Cup camp in order to play in the Indian Premier League for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
