ICC CWC 2019: These are the probables who can replace injured Shikhar Dhawan

XtraTime Web Desk: Virat Kohli led Indian cricket team had started their campaign of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in a convincing way as they won their first two matches of the tournament. But earlier today the team faced a huge blow as their star opener Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the tournament for 3 weeks as he sustained an injury on his left thumb while facing a bouncer by Australian pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile. Though the BCCI hadn’t said anything officially about this matter but as per sources the team management already knows that it’s a confirmed fracture and they will be given a thorough report later in the evening. Though if the reports to be believed Dhawan is already ruled out of the tournament.

And Dhawan’s injury, however has made way for the selection of few cricketers as replacement, but among them young wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant is the front runner. Beside them the other cricketers who can replace him is Ajinkya Rahane or Shreyas Iyer. Pant was in very good form in the recently concluded Indian Premier League and as per sources his chances of going as a replacement to England is much brighter than others.
As far as New Zealand game, KL Rahul may open with Rohit Sharma and experienced Dinesh Karthik may get the chance to bat at No. 4 for the Men in Blue.
