ICC CWC 2019: Shock! Alex Carey reminds the trauma of Phil Hughes in the second semi final

XtraTime Web Desk: Trauma engulfs the second semi final of the ICC World Cup 2019, as the memories of Phil Hughes once again came alive. This time it’s against another left handed Aussie – Alex Carey.

In the 8th over, Carey copped a blow on his chin and he immediately signaled towards the dressing room – nasty short ball from Archer, kept climbing onto the left-hander, Carey did all he could, hopped across, dropped his wrists and managed to drop the ball to the off-side – such was the impact that he ended up with the helmet in his hands. He’s bleeding from his chin, a ripper from Archer and that would have sent shockwaves across Australia.

Thankfully it was not that serious and after some treatment, he had started batting again.
