ICC CWC 2019: Difference of ‘8 years’ and two different Rohit Sharma

XtraTime Web Desk: Indian ODI team’s vice captain Rohit Sharma is in red hot form in the ongoing World Cup as he already hit four centuries in eight innings. Though most of the team’s drooped Rohit’s catch one or two times but the ‘Hitman’ capitalized fully on it and scored the runs.

We all know that star Indian cricketers like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli have won World Cup for the nation back in 2011 edition of the World Cup, but unfortunately Rohit wasn’t a part of the squad.

Rohit, in fact, had tweeted at that time to say: “Really, really disappointed of not being the part of the WC squad..I need to move on frm here..But honestly it was a big setback..any views!”

Things have changed dramatically for Rohit since then. From being overlooked for the 2011 squad, Rohit, in 2019 has played a big role in taking India into the semis of the World Cup with his batting prowess.

The official handle of the ICC Cricket World Cup on Wednesday took to Twitter to share the two contrasting scenarios of Rohit’s cricketing journey.

Rohit, so far, in the ongoing tournament has scored 544 runs in seven games and is currently the leading run scorer in the tournament.
